Why You Should Stop Scrolling

In my last post, we delved into how booze can diminish your resources. Now, let's shift our focus to you and your scrolling habits.

With your mobile device seemingly an extension of your physical being and algorithms crafted to keep you hooked, it's no surprise that you find yourself spending hours scrolling through an endless feed. But the real question is: Does this scrolling truly add value to your life?

Your chiropractor humorously encourages you to keep scrolling, perhaps to ensure they have a steady stream of patients with soft tissue damage to treat in your thumb and neck. But if you pause for a moment and reflect, is it really worth potentially causing yourself permanent physical damage?

Recent legislation in Canada has removed news from social media, filling your feed with more meaningless content. Instead of mindless scrolling, have you ever considered how your day would change if you dedicated just 15 minutes to meditation, had a meaningful conversation with a friend, or engaged in an ab workout? The long-term benefits of these activities on your physical and emotional well-being are far more enticing than the prospect of chronic pain.

So, the next time you feel the urge to start scrolling, try something different. Put your device down and consciously choose to do something that truly adds value to your life.
